That’s some serious staging! I’m impressed. And obviously the end results are beautiful.

I almost forgot to focus on the ice cream! That’s a first. Your photo is amazing. I will have to get some poster board in the near future
Memoria:
Don’t get poster board, it’s too flimsy and can’t support itself. (Like my cousin!) LOL!!
If you have a “Dollar Tree” or similar store in your area the one I visited yesterday had 24″x36″ foamcore boards for $1 US. Cheap!
You can use basic white household glue to attach aluminum foil to the foamcore boards (dull side out).
Or you can cut the board up to make small reflectors.
I was on the set of the movie “The Signal” shooting stills a couple years ago and the lighting guy had a page of the Sunday color comics in front of a large soft box light. I asked him why and he said the color comics turned the pure white light into a mix of colors. He feels that gives a more “real world” feel to the scene. He pointed out to me that light coming in a window is not pure white, it’s a mix of light sources such as the red from a car and blue from the sky and green from the grass and yellow from the school bus and lots of colors from flowers. In other words the real world is a mixture of colors. He also said that every scene where he sets up the light he throws away the prior color Sunday comics and hangs a new one in front of the soft light. Interesting.

Thank you guys! I love my equipment that I’ve been acquiring little by little. I know a lot of food photographers use natural light but in my 100-year old house is so difficult to get it
